Robert Galante

Robert Nicholas Galante, 39, beloved son to Louis Galante of Watertown and Lisa Vecchiarello of Belmont, passed away suddenly on April 19th, 2016. A proud native of Watertown and recent resident of Belmont, Bob's legacy is helping others and making all who knew him laugh.  Sadly, he leaves behind his sister Gina Skillings, her husband Jason, his niece Olivia and nephew Nicholas of Wakefield. He also leaves his brother and best friend, Rick Galante, his wife Heather, his niece Cate and nephew Joseph of Bedford.  Bob worked as the Director of after school programming for the Lowell School in Watertown.  He also served as the Director of the Peqousette Summer Program for many years.  
Bob loved football and loved coaching.  He volunteered his time as a coach to the Watertown/Belmont Pop Warner Football Program. Bob was a friend to many and he considered his friends as family.  Those who knew Bob will remember his sense of humor, kindness, and loyalty.  His contagious spirit and inspiration will be remembered by all who knew him. Bob was always everyone's "favorite hello" and he is now our "hardest goodbye."   
Friends and family are invited to gather at St. Patrick's Church on Saturday at 11 AM for a Funeral Mass. Burial private. Visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home 373 Main St. Watertown on Friday from 4-7 PM.
