We are so sad to hear of Mr. Kanode's passing. Our son had the pleasure of having him at Stanley a few years back. We will be thinking of you today and the days and months to come. He will be dearly missed.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Love you

My condolences to the Kanode family. Steve was one of the best people I have ever met in my entire life. I so enjoyed his sense of humor & love for the Red Sox. Every time I was around him, it was constant smiles & laughs. I will miss our conversations so much. I hope Amanda and the boys find peace as time goes on, and always remember how much he loved his family.

My friends, I will miss Stephen and was really blessed to be connected with him in my personal and professional life, though the latter was a more somber relationship. HIs smile and genuine compassion will not be forgotten. We are less for his passing.

Steve was a caring, thoughtful and excellent administrator and friend. He had a big friendly smile and caring word for everyone. He knew and cared about all the kids at the Stanley School and all the kids knew and cared about him. Steve always made time to talk and listen to students, parents and staff members and he really heard you. He will be deeply missed!

To the Kanode family, please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved Steve. It was a pleasure and an honor to have worked with Steve at Stanley School. We shared many laughable and serious moments. He was a remarkable educator and administrator.
May you all rejoice in your sweet and precious memories with Steve.
