Gennaro 'Jerry' Barbato

Gennaro 'Jerry' Barbato, age 86, of Newton formerly of Watertown, passed away on Saturday February 11, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Rachel (Argento) Barbato. Beloved father of Paula Apotheker and her husband Jeff of Stoughton and Gerard Sr. and his wife Robin of Watertown. Grandfather of David, Joey, Zachary, Gerard Jr., Jenna, & Jara and 7 great-grandchildren. Brother of Evelyn Rice and Nora Pacious, and the late Alvino, Arthur, Alfred and Albert Barbato. Visitation period will be held in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St, Watertown, on Tuesday February 14, 2017 from 9 to 10 AM, followed by a 10:30 Mass in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes, 270 Elliot St, Newton. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watertown with Military Honors. Member of the Squillani Socety & AMVETS Post 14. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Mary Immaculate of Lourdes, 270 Elliot St, Newton.
