We are so shocked and saddened, and so very sorry to hear about Dave's sudden passing last week. He was such a warm person, and so kind to all of the kids that he coached over the years (we remember his kindness and encouragement in Bedford Babe Ruth baseball when the kids were younger). Timperio Family: I first met Dave in 1983,when I joined P&P Gym on Calvary St., Waltham. I took an instant liking to Dave and got to know him quite well during the five years we lifted there together. I left Waltham in 1988 to become a Connecticut State Trooper, where I remain today. I ran into Dave a few times when I would return to the area and knew he wanted to become a State Trooper. I was thrilled when I learned (probably from my cousins, the Fahey's of Watertown) that he became a Mass State Trooper. From the stories and photos I have seen posted on FB in recent days, it was clear that Dave was a very impressive State Trooper, both in terms of command presence and performance; and an even more impressive family man, friend, and neighbor. None of this surprised me based upon the simply great guy I remember from those great P&P Gym (and later World Gym on California St, Newton) days of yore. I am very sorry for your loss and only hope that way Dave lived his life, personally and professionally, will provide a legacy and memories you can cherish forever. My sincere condolences.

My prayers are with Dave's family right now. We were friends in elementary school, we went to CCD together and played on sports teams together at the old Browne school. So many memories. Although I have been gone from Watertown for nearly 30 years, I feel like I've been transported back to those times. The house on Morton street. Dave's Grandparents and playing in their backyard. God Rest his soul. Thank you Dave for all you did during your time on earth. The lives you saved as a Massachusetts State Trooper. The friends you made happy. The wife you love and the boys you raised. God Bless You. None of us will ever forget you.

Libby I often thought of you and Dave back in the day when we , all would meet up on
a Sunday or when ever we could and jump on our Harleys and ride to where ever . We always had fun and enjoyed each others friendship and company, Libby I'm sorry for your loss , I last saw David in his uniform at work on Rte 2 in Lunenburg
at the registery office he had just became a trooper about 6 months earlier,he was testing drivers that Day, he walked in with his chest out and snappy look, I couldn't resist I hadn't seen him since he when to the academy and became a trooper
I sat their with my son who was to be tested that day and noticed it was David walking in I couldn't resist I just looked at him and Said- You can breathe now as cocky as I could be he turned and looked at me like who said that and we just looked at each and laughed and hugged and talked about how things were going
You and the family were his everything in life ,the Love poured from his heart when he spoke of you , to know David was to love and respect David great Family Man
RIP my friend
