William Anastasiades Obituary

William James Anastasiades, formerly of Watertown, who resided in both Tamworth, NH & St. John’s, FL passed away on June 4, 2024. He was the beloved husband to Diane (Trask) & the late Kathleen (Callahan) Anastasiades. Bill was born in Boston, on October 19,1951 to the late James “Jake” and Louise “Jean” Anastasiades, of Watertown.  He enjoyed 45 years of marriage with Kathy and cared for her until her passing in 2016.  He is survived by his children; Michael J. Anastasiades & his wife Jennifer of Hanover, MA, William J. Anastasiades, Jr. & his wife Carrie of Wethersfield, CT, and Nicholas J. Anastasiades, of Watertown, MA. He instilled in them the values of hard work, resilience, and perseverance. Cherished 'Pop' to Alexandra, Mia, Niko, James “Jake”, Kelsey & Thomas “Quinn”; he was always quick with a funny joke or a saying that will be remembered for years to come.

Bill was the Dear brother of Gary of Watertown, James M. (Joanne) of Wakefield., Charles of Watertown, Christopher of Watertown, Robert (Lynne) of Burlington, Nicholas D. (Melissa) of Woburn, and the late Linda (Ullo) Anastasiades. Bill loved his brothers and sister, all extended family and many cousins, and his impact and care for each of them was evident in every phase of his life.

After the passing of Kathleen, Billy was able to find love again. Diane Trask joined the Anastasiades family along with her children; Bryan McCue & his wife Megan, Brendon McCue & his wife Becky, Brittany Marino & her husband Danny, and Brady McCue; and grandchildren Leo, Lincoln, & Quinn Marino, and Masie & Patrick McCue.

Bill was an employee of FedEx for over thirty years.  During his long career with the company he made lifelong friends and relationships that were unrivaled. He loved to keep contact with his friends and relatives both near and far.  Pop will be remembered for making breakfast and listening to Greek music on Sunday mornings.  He was an avid football fan and had season tickets to the Patriots for many years.  He loved the beach and entertaining his friends and family there. His grilled steak tips, sausage and chicken will always be favorites of those that were close to him. He and his wife Kathy traveled to St Maarten for many years, accompanied by his sister in law Judy and late brother in law, Larry Callahan, his very cherished friends. Bill also found great joy with his three and four legged friends Lady and Toula.  He will be missed by all, with no compare.
