Sylvia Fantasia

             Sylvia (Semon) Fantasia, Age 95, passed peacefully Dec. 25, 2021 In Antelope, CA. with family at her side. Former resident of Wilmington, Ma for over 64 years, wife of the late Salvatore E Fantasia(2016). Mother of Donna Seidel, Sally Fantasia, Marie Nigro, grandmother (Noni) to 6,great grandmother to 12. Sister of Marilyn Brodsky and the late Annette Baron. Daughter to the late Benjamin and Beatrice Semon. Loving Aunt to many. Known for her Artistic talent, portraits, oil paintings, still lifes, sr class photos, Sylvia has won many recognitions for her work. Her infamous Vineyards of Rio Maggiore commissioned and hung in Rocco’s restaurant Wilmington for decades. Sylvia loved to cook for her family, paint, assist Sal in produce display competitions that won him many prizes and acclamations. She invented a puzzle for Bingo called Blitz Blotz. Famous for her cream puffs, she’d never share the recipe. In the earlier “golden years” she loved going to bingo, her “job”. She’d win $300, tell Sal $100 and give him $100. He knew. He supported her “job”. Always keeping herself attractive, she’d come to breakfast with lipstick on to keep Sal’s attention. Many grateful thanks to Sally Fantasia who cared for Ma 24 hours a day until her last breath. And to Sarah Wade and Thereasa Cajiles for their unending love and attention to “Noni”.

               Family and friends are welcome to gather at for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home 373 Main Street WATERTOWN on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:30 followed by an 11 AM graveside service in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
