Seán Ward

    After a six-month battle with cancer, Seán Ward passed away with his children by his side on March 8, 2024 at his home in Hampton, NH. 

      Born in Attymon, Galway, Ireland. Seán was the devoted husband to the late Kitty (Kilraine) Ward. Loving father of Seán Ward of Hanson, MA and Noreen Lynch and her husband Mike of North Hampton, NH. Seán was the proud and devoted 'Grandad' to Katelyn and John Ward and Michael Lynch Jr.

      A long-time resident of Watertown, MA, he spent 40 years there before moving to New Hampshire after his beloved wife of 52 years passed away. He spent the bulk of his career working for the Archdiocese of Boston, split between St Patrick’s Parish in Watertown and St Mary’s Cemetery in Needham. 

     Seán was blessed with a quick Irish wit and sense of humor, he was loved by everyone he met and was sure to leave you with a smile. He will be sorely missed by his children, grandchildren, family and his many friends. 

     Family and friends are kindly invited to come celebrate Seán‘s life during visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Friday March 15,  from 4-7 PM and again on Saturday March 16, at 8 AM followed by a 9 AM Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, Watertown. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Needham. 

     In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Seán’s name to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
