Salvatore Ballaccomo

     Salvatore Ballaccomo, age 89 of Waltham, passed away on August 28, 2026. 

     Born on April 21, 1937 in Raffadali, Italy; beloved son of the late Filippo Ballaccomo and Alfonsa Bartolomeo. 

     He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Caterina (Buscemi) Ballaccomo. Loving father of Antonina Caruso & her husband Joseph, Filippo Ballaccomo and the late Rosalinda Ballaccomo. Cherished grandfather to Nadia Cannistraro & her husband Kyle, Loredana Koffman & her husband David, Deborah Maynes & her husband Ryan and Joseph Caruso & his fiancée Vanessa, and 5 great grandchildren: Emma, Mila, Remi, Abigail and Lina. Dear brother to the late Giovanni Ballaccomo & Antonina Ballaccomo. He also leaves behind many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 
      Born in Sicily, Salvatore’s life was one of adventure, hard work, and devotion to family. Throughout his early life, he lived in Torino, Belgium, and Germany before eventually settling in the United States, where he built a life centered around those he loved.

     A lifelong, hardworking man, Salvatore devoted himself to providing for and caring for his family. He found great joy tending to his garden, but his happiness always came from the time he spent with his loved ones. Some of his family’s most cherished memories were made together at the beach house, where four generations gathered under one roof, sharing laughter, stories, meals, and countless special moments.

     Salvatore will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to his family, and the love and care he so generously gave throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed, but the many memories he created with those he loved will live forever.

     Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Salvatore's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Friday September 4, 2026 from 8:30-10 AM followed by a 10:30 Funeral Mass in Our Lady's Help of Christian Church, 573 Washington St. Newton. Entombment in Calvary Mausoleum.
