Ruth (DiRe) Roberts

   Ruth J. (DiRe) Roberts, age 78, of Newton, MA passed away on August 9, 2025 after a long illness. Ruth was the devoted wife to her loving husband of 56 years, Johnny F. Roberts. She grew up in Watertown, MA, daughter of late Alfredo and Rose (Scioli) DiRe. Ruth was the dear sister of Ann M. Cedrone of McLean, VA, and beloved aunt to Michael J. Cedrone, his wife Luci V. (Hooper), and their children, Ruth’s beloved grandnephew, Timothy Michael, and grandniece, Elizabeth Lucille Rose, all of McLean, VA. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.

   Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Ruth's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main Street, Watertown MA, 02472 on Thursday, August 14, 2025 frrom 10 - 12 Noon followed by a 12 Noon funeral home service.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham, MA.
