Rita DiRico, age 62 of Watertown, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 1, 2024. Loving mother to Carmela DiRico. Cherished daughter to the late Antonio & Luigia 'Ginetta' (D'Alleva) DiRico. Loving sister to late brother Joseph DiRico, Maria (DiRico) Claybourne, Rocky DiRico & his wife Wendy, Silvio DiRico and his late wife Mary DiRico, Thomas DiRico, his wife Janette, Robert DiRico and her many nieces and nephews.
Rita walked her own path. A true trail blazer in her own way. Rita joined the Labor’s Union Local 560 of Waltham. A job she loved and took pride in. Just as her father did working with her hands and taking pride in what she did . She loved getting dirty from work and being part of the BigDig. Her path over a decade of construction work brought another opportunity, Driving an 18 wheeler cross country and to someday try to make to Ice Roads of Alaska. Though she never did get to travel to Alaska she will make it there! To anyone who knew her, they were unconditionally loved.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Rita's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Sunday Dec 15, 2024 from 12-2 PM.
