Mary (Flannery) Caira

            Mary Estelle Katherine (Flannery) Caira, Age 82 of NC formerly of Watertown. Sept 27, 2020. Beloved wife of 46 years to the late Michael Caira. Loving mother of Michael, Christopher & his wife Kelly, and Maria Baia & her husband Robert Baia. Cherished Nana to Catherine Murray, Laura Murray, Abbey Caira and Michaela Baia. Great Grandmother to Eddie Murray. She was the daughter of the late William and Estelle (Capozzi) Flannery. She was the sister of Margaret, William and his late wife Margaret, Joseph and his wife Carol, the late David, and Patricia and her husband Charles Gibson. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Arnold and Laura (Salvucci) Caira, sisterin-law to Arnold and the late Holly Caira, the late Loretta Caira, Carmen and Loretta Caira, the late Ralph and Joan Caira and the late Anthony Caira. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and an abundance of friends.

             Mary earned a BSN in Nursing (Degrecum Laude) and a Master of Arts degree in Healthcare Administration. She was a member of the board of directors of her nursing alumni association at MGH for more than 50 years.

            Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Mary’s life on Tuesday Oct 13, 2020 at 10:30 am by gathering for a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Newton. Burial to follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Due to the current precautions surrounding COVID-19, please abide by the social distancing guidelines, wear a mask and bring a chair for the cemetery if you would like.
