Martha Randall Obituary

Martha Louise Randall, born March 28, 1931, in Clinton, Massachusetts, lived a life marked by faith, intelligence, service, and a wonderfully sharp sense of humor. Martha passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026.

She was the beloved daughter of Rufus Randall and Beth (Walker) Randall, and a devoted sister to Wayne Randall (Chickie) and Edward Randall (Lucille). Martha valued family deeply and took great joy in the lives of her 11 nieces and nephews, as well as her many great-nieces and great-nephews, each of whom she followed with pride, affection, and lively interest.
Martha was a gifted scholar who graduated from Hudson High School and earned her degree from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. She dedicated many years of her life to religious service as a Catholic nun with the Cenacle Sisters, a calling that reflected her commitment to faith, learning, and service to others. After completing her years in religious life, she continued her professional journey working for John Hancock Financial in Boston, where she was respected for her diligence and intellect.
Beyond her accomplishments, Martha will be remembered for her love of animals especially dogs, her keen observations, and her quick, incisive wit—a humor that could be both subtle and delightfully disarming. She cherished poetry and expressed her love through original poems, thoughtfully written for people closest to her. She was thoughtful, independent, and deeply caring, leaving an impression on all who knew her.
Martha Louise Randall’s life was rich in purpose, compassion, and quiet strength. She will be remembered with love, gratitude, and many smiles by those fortunate enough to have known her.
In keeping with Martha’s lifelong spirit of generosity and service, she has chosen to donate her brain to scientific research through Boston University, continuing to give even after death.
