Louise (Tobio) Scalzi, age 91, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Domenic Scalzi, Louise was the devoted mother of Steven L. Scalzi and his wife Doreen, and Edward J. Scalzi and his wife Jacqueline, all of Watertown. She was the cherished grandmother of Angelina, Sophia, and Domenic, who brought her endless joy and pride. Louise was the dear sister of Mary Tompkins and Ruth Tobio, and was predeceased by her siblings Irene MacDonald, Joan Direnzo, Anthony Tobio, John Tobio, and Salvatore Tobio.
Louise lived a vibrant and healthy life centered around the people and things she loved most. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense joy in spending time with them, especially enjoying plays and live performances together. A lifelong fan of Barry Manilow, she attended many of his concerts over the years with enthusiasm and joy. Her deep love for animals—especially the many beloved family dogs—was a constant throughout her life.
Louise was the kind of mother and grandmother most could only dream of: nurturing, selfless, supportive, and full of warmth. She lived a wonderful long life, leaving behind countless cherished memories and a legacy of love.
A celebration of Louise’s life will be held with a Mass on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Saint George’s Parish, 74 School Street, Framingham, MA. Burial will be private.
