Lorraine (Conti) Arone

     Lorraine (Conti) Arone, 94, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026. A lifelong resident of her beloved hometown of Watertown, MA, she was the eldest of the 15 Conti children from King Street. She is survived by her two youngest siblings, William Conti of Sudbury, MA, and Pamela Mullinax of Charlotte, NC.

     Affectionately known to many as "Mimi," Lorraine’s greatest joy in life was her family. She shared over 50 years of marriage with her beloved late husband, Arthur Arone. Lorraine was the devoted mother of Brenda Lando and her husband Sean, and the late Anne Hutchings and Thomas Arone.

     As the cherished matriarch of her family, Mimi leaves behind a rich legacy. She was the adored grandmother of Jamie Paul and John David, Lorna Carroll and her husband Scott, Ryan Hutchings and his partner Shannon Hogan, Ricky Hutchings, Kristina Lando and her fiancé Rebecca Snelling, Kevin Lando and his wife Ciara, and Katie Delasandro. She was the great grandmother to Colton Paul, Selah Paul, Autumn Carroll, Isla Carroll, Anthony Hutchings, and Levi Lando.  She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.                                                                                                                                                    Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Mimi's life by gathering for a visitation hour in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Thursday July 9, 2026 from 4 - 5 PM followed by a 5 PM Funeral Home Service. Burial will be held privately by family.
