Loreto Leone

    Loreto Leone passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, the day before his 96th birthday, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Dora (Cedrone) Leone, with whom he shared more than 65 years together. Loving father of Robert Leone and his wife Deborah, and Liliana Trainor and her husband Patrick. Cherished “Nonno” to Natalie, Samantha and Melissa Leone, Daniel Trainor and his wife Emily, Jeffrey and Julia Trainor. Dear brother of Josephine Leone, Nazareno (Ned) Leone and his wife Cindy and the late Carmen Leone and his wife Lucy.  He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

    Loreto was a devoted member of the Watertown Sons of Italy, where he was an avid bocce player. He loved making wine, gardening, and most of all, spending time with his family. A true family man, Loreto cherished every moment with his grandchildren and was known for his warm hugs, big smile, and loving personality. His family was his greatest joy, and he will be remembered for the happiness and love he brought to everyone around him.

    Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Loreto’s life by gathering on Thursday August 27, 2026 for a visitation hour at Our Lady’s Comforter of the Afflicted Parish, 920 Trapelo Road, Waltham, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Entombment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
