Karen V. Norton, age 71 of Watertown, passed away with her family by her side on April 9, 2020. Karen was born in Watertown on March 21, 1949 to the late William and Jean B Eaton, she was the youngest child. Karen was a devoted mother and matriarch to Jena M Alberico of Watertown, Jeremy Norton and his wife Noelle of Watertown, Thomas L Norton and his wife Susan of Leicester, and Ellen Welch of Buffalo, NY. Karen was a devoted Grandma to Andrew Norton, Celeste and Sofia Alberico, Jared and Connor Norton, and Samantha Keefe. Also survived by her sister Barbara Borovick of Golfstown, NH. Also survived by all her nieces and nephews from all over.
Karen was a lifelong resident of Watertown. She had worked and retired from the Town of Watertown after almost 30 years. She was well known all over town for always having a helping hand. Karen was a member of the Elks organization for many years. She was one of the first woman to become an Exhaulted Ruler. She had also been a District Deputy of the Elks. Her all time favorite thing she had done was the Hoop Shoot. She had worked doing this for so many years. Karen was an amazing woman and loved by all.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 24, 2020 at 10 AM in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Due to the current precautions surrounding COVID-19 please abide by the social distancing guidelines, wear a mask and bring a chair if you would like.
