Joseph Rossi passed away on January 30, 2020 at the age of 83. Joe was born on March 13, 1936 in Atina, Italy. He was the son of Luigi and Caterina Rossi. At 13 yrs of age, Joe moved with his family to the United States and became a citizen on April 21, 1958. He resided in Watertown, MA with his father, stepmother Teresa Rossi, and his 9 brothers and sisters. Joe joined the National Guard and later joined the United States Army in 1955 where he trained as a mechanic. After his military service, Joe went back to school to receive his high school diploma from Watertown High School. He then joined his father and brothers in the construction business where he went to Florida to work on the NASA Space Center Launch Pad. Joe moved back to Watertown where he met his wife Barbara (Connors) in 1965. Joe and Barbara moved to Waltham where they raised their 3 children, Tammy Rossi (Waltham), Michael Rossi (Marlborough) and his wife Sarah, and Melissa Rossi (Waltham) and her fiancé Saber Said. Joe was most proud of his children and his seven loving grandchildren Hugo Rossi, Zachary Rossi, Scott LeBlanc, Matthew Rossi, Shaun LeBlanc, Emma Sullivan and Andrew Sullivan. Nothing gave him more joy than being infamously known as "PaJoe" to his grandchildren and family. Joe is the dear brother of Concetta Coppola, Maria Coppola, Anna Antonucci, Caterina Bastianelli, Reno Rossi, Mario Rossi and the late Paul Rossi, Alberto Rossi and Clemente Rossi. His biggest wish was to see his family take care of one another the way he took care of them.
