Joseph Marzilli

          Joseph Marzilli, age 91 of Watertown formerly of Marston Mills & Arlington, after surviving a battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, succumbed to cancer Sept 20, 2023.  Joe was born to Joseph T. and Eleanor DeToma Marzilli on Jan 26, 1932, along with his four late siblings Angelo (“Bill”), Thomas, John, and Eileen. 

          Joe was the beloved husband of the late Janet (Meikle) Marzilli. Loving father of David Marzilli & his wife April, Joseph Marzilli Jr., Jean Marzilli, Carol Marzilli & her husband Steve Snow and William Marzilli & his wife Laura. Cherished 'Grampy' to Adam, Greg, Jenna & Mauricio. Great grandfather to Joseph West Marzilli. 

         Joseph was an Army veteran, wounded in the Korean War, and upon returning eventually enjoyed a long career in the Registry of Motor Vehicles.  He was a more than passable trumpet player with an abiding love of music, especially classical and jazz.  He was passionate about his family, and enjoyed his hobbies of bowling, billiards, poker, and golf.  Joseph and Janet helped found and were active members of the Massachusetts chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
