Obituary

Joseph Caruso age 90 of Watertown passed away suddenly on Thursday March 19, 2020 one day after his 90th birthday surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his beloved wife Elena (DeFelice), his cherished daughter Linda (Caruso) Lavoie and her husband Christopher Lavoie and his loving grandson Edward Collins of PA.

Joe grew up in Watertown and lived there his entire life. When he was 24 he met the love of his life Elena DeFelice. They wed 2 years later and were married for 64 years. They had one daughter Linda who was the light of his life. He also had one grandson Edward Collins who Joe cherished.

Joe is a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Town of Watertown for over 25 years. Upon retiring he continued to work for himself as a brick layer. A job he absolutely loved. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had many yearly hunting trips to Canada and Maine. In the summer you could always find Joe out in his garden, where he took great pride in his tomatoes. Joe loved spending time with his family. Family meals were something he loved and at Thanksgiving Joe would make his famous stuffing. His last years were spent with family and everyday he would meet with his veteran buddies at their club, something he loved to do. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

A private gathering will be held by the family and a graveside service will take place on Tuesday March 24, 2020 in Ridgelawn Cemetery with Military Honors.
