Jennifer Miriam Cheong-How, At 76, of Jamaica Plain passed from this life to a life of eternal joy on November 14. Jennifer was a prayerful devoted member of the Episcopal church. It was her great happiness for years to hand launder and care for all the church’s altar linens through the liturgical seasons. She was also very artistic and enjoyed painting and needlework. She had a warm and funny sense of humor and loved to tell stories about her childhood. We so very much miss her among us.
Jennifer worked as a certified nursing assistant in the care of elderly and disabled individuals and she served as a volunteer with the Blue Hills Boys and Girls Club. She was a sister of the Society of St. Margaret. Jennifer was the daughter of Gloria Adele Pow and Howard Cheong-How. She leaves behind her sister Diane and brother-in-law Carl of Trinidad and her cousin Hazel of Ottawa. Her brother Garvin and another sister, Patricia, predeceased her.
Services will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, 138 Tremont St., Boston, 02111 on November 23. Viewing at 9:00AM, funeral service at 10:30AM. Memorials may be made to: The Sisters of St. Margaret, 50 Harden Hill Rd. PO Box C, Duxbury, Ma 02331-0605 as well as to The Cathedral Church of St. Paul in support of altar linens and paraments. Please put “memorial” in the memo line.
