Janet (Robson) Buhler, of Sharon, formerly of Newton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters on January 24, 2021 at the age of 71. She fought a long and hard battle against lung and breast cancer, having previously survived breast cancer twice. Janet was the daughter of the late Maxwell H. Robson and Lida Robson (Crawford.) Janet was the proud wife of the late Walter Theodore Buhler Jr., mom to Jennifer & Kimberly Buhler, beloved Grammy to Adelaide, sister to Deborah Cobb and the late Crawford “Stubby” Robson, aunt to Sarah Griffith and her husband Jim & to Jimmy Cobb and his wife Lynne, cousin, and friend to many.
Janet touched the lives of everyone she met during her life. She lived to take care of others and spent decades working as a nurse’s aide at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood while also providing personal senior home-care. She devoted many years to taking care of her husband Teddy when he was diagnosed with ALS. Janet was a foodie who ventured to new restaurants she saw on Chronicle or the Travel Channel. She loved visiting St. Maarten and Akumal, Mexico to swim with sea turtles and enjoy a Pina Colada or two. She was an avid pop culture fan who loved movies, music, binging tv series and playing video games. Her free time was spent reading, gardening, and snuggling with her adoring Frenchie grand-dog, Bilbo.
There will be a private burial at a later date. Donations in her honor can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
