Francis Cotone

               Francis Cotone (Frank), 63, of Summerville, SC formerly of Burlington and Watertown, MA passed unexpectedly from a stroke on December 3, 2020, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 36 years to Kathy Hanlon Cotone and father to Marc, Andrea, and Julie. Supportive father-in-law to Heather, Harry, and Will. Loving Grandpa to Makenna, Benjamin, Addison, Colton, Bryce and Harper. Devoted brother to Karen DelGizzi and her husband Robert and Thomas Cotone. Frank was pre-deceased by his parents, Frank and Mary Cotone of Watertown, MA. Cherished son-in-law to Patrick and the late Ellen Hanlon. Brother-in-law to Patrick Hanlon and Denise Charette, Ellen and Jim Ridge, Rita and Rick Stacy, and Jo and Rick Antonellis. Frank was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many good friends who he has always considered family.
              Family meant everything to Frank. He loved his family so very much and was always there to listen or to be of service. He made everyone he crossed paths with feel special and truly never met a stranger. If you needed a laugh, he always had a story to tell. He has left those who knew him with a lifetime of memories. Frank graduated from Watertown High School in 1975 and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was an avid golfer and fan of all sports. Frank worked for CR Machine for more than 25 years and retired as a Quality Manager. From his friends at CR Machine: Frank was a colleague, a co-worker to many, a professional, a mentor, a sincere friend…but most importantly he was genuinely a good person.

            Family and friends can gather to celebrate Frank’s life at Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main Street, Watertown, MA on Tuesday, December 15 from 3-6. Funeral Mass will be at St. Patrick’s Church on Wednesday, December 16 at 10:00. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
