Eva (Chandler) Testa

     Eva (Chandler) Testa, of Newton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at her home on July 29, 2026, at the age of 103.
     Born on February 4, 1923, in Newton, Massachusetts, Eva spent her entire life rooted in the community she loved. She was the devoted wife of Carmine Testa. The two shared a special bond for 79 years, rarely apart.
     Eva was a dedicated homemaker whose greatest joy was caring for her family. She had a remarkable talent for crocheting and knitting beautiful baby clothing and doll outfits, many of which she proudly sold at local church fairs. Her handcrafted creations reflected the patience, generosity, and love she poured into everything she did, and they will continue to be treasured by those fortunate enough to receive them.
     She was preceded in death by her daughters, Lynda Tenaglia and Nancy Feeley.
     Eva is lovingly survived her husband Carmine, by her daughter, Carol Bille, her son, William Testa, and son in law Michael Tenaglia; her grandchildren, Chris, Maria, Peter, Michael, Kimberly, Daniel, and Heather; and her great-grandchildren, Abigail, Jack, and Indigo.
     Eva’s 103 years were a testament to a life filled with resilience, devotion, and unconditional love. She found happiness in the simple things—family gatherings, quiet moments at home with Carmine, and creating beautiful handmade gifts that brought joy to others. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family will remain an enduring source of comfort and inspiration.
     Her family is deeply grateful for the many years of memories they shared with her. Though she will be profoundly missed, her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and the countless lives she touched.

   Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Eva's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Monday August 3, 2026 from 12 noon to 1 pm followed by a 1 PM funeral home service. Burial to follow in Newton Cemetery.
