Elizabeth Alice (D’Angelo) Neckyfarow, 99 of Belmont, MA, formerly of Watertown, MA passed away on September 2, 2025. Married to the late William S Neckyfarow for over 57 years. Mother to Steven W. Neckyfarow and his late wife Janet Goff Neckyfarow of Fernandina Beach, FL and Charles W. Neckyfarow and his wife Paula Furst Neckyfarow of Boston, MA and the late Carol Neckyfarow Zub and her husband Russell Zub of Fairfax Station, VA. Sister to The late Charles D’Angelo and the late Angela Rose (D’Angelo) Carabello of Watertown, MA. Grandmother to Jennifer Willis, Natalie Neckyfarow, Karen Haynes, Jeffrey Zub, Stephanie Zub, Kim Neckyfarow, and John-Nicholas Furst. Also survived by three great grand children, two great great grand children, and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.
Elizabeth was a graduate of Fisher College, Boston MA. She wasa secretary at Sanborn Company, Cambridge,MA where she met her husband “Nick”, Secretary to the Dean of Radcliffe College (Harvard University) and a Grants Administrator at Harvard University. She was a longtime member of the Sons of Italy Women’s Lodge in Watertown, MA. After marrying William in 1947 Elizabeth raised their three children in Watertown before moving to her beloved home in Belmont in 1973. She enjoyed sitting on her back deck appreciating the beautiful surroundings. She loved to spend their family vacation each year on Cape Cod on the beaches of Brewster, Hyannis and Mashpee. She delighted in cooking Italian food especially pastries including making pizzelles from scratch and crocheting blankets for everyone in the family. Elizabeth had a deep conviction that education was key to a productive life and was proud of the fact that all three of her children received Master’s degrees in Engineering and were successful in their professional lives. She treasured having numerous gatherings with family and friends, and traveling to her ancestral home in Orsogna, Italy, and to her children’s homes to celebrate holidays and family milestones.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Elizabeth’s life by gathering for a visitation hour in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St, Watertown on Monday September 8th from 8:30 AM - 9;30 AM followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, 212 Main St, Watertown. Entombment to follow in Mt Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge MA.
