Deputy Fire Chief Alfred Parrella, age 98, of Watertown, passed away on Saturday September 24, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Virginia (Goodwin) Parrella. Loving father of Retired Watertown Fire Fighter David Parrella & his wife Cheryl, Helen Barrile & her husband Tony, Jean Scalese & her late husband James, the late Fred Parrella & his wife Irene and the late Patricia. Cherished ‘Grampy’ to 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Evelyn Sache, Marie DeStasi, Janet Berg and the late Watertown Police Sgt Americo Parrella, Gloria King, Violet Parrella and Major Carmine Parrella.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Al’s life by gathering for visiting hours on Friday September 30th from 4-7 in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown, MA and again on Saturday October 1st at 9 AM followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Watertown. Burial with Army Honors in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Patrick’s Food Pantry, 26R Chestnut St, Watertown, MA 02472
