David "Coach" Westcott, age 84 of East Cambridge, passed away on September 16, 2026. Beloved husband to the late Patricia (Duda) Westcott. Loving father to Jonathan Westcott & his wife Luana. Cherished 'Dzia' to his grandson Ian Westcott, his grandpup Tucker. Dear brother to the late Kenneth 'Night-Owl' Westcott, Uncle to Kara Westcott Graham and her family, as well as leaving behind many loving family members, and close friends.
A proud veteran, David’s life was defined by service, camaraderie, and a love for the outdoors. He was a devoted member of the American Legion Post 156, where he dedicated countless hours to supporting fellow veterans and participating in community service initiatives. His passion for riding and brotherhood extended to the American Legion Riders Post 156, spending many memorable weekends on the open road with his fellow riders in honor of those who served.
When he wasn't on two wheels or at the Legion, David could often be found enjoying nature at the Danvers Fish & Game Club. Whether spending quiet mornings outdoors camping with his son Jonathan, or sharing stories with fellow members, he cherished the fellowship and conservation spirit of the club.
Above all, David was a loyal friend, a devoted family member, and a constant source of strength to those around him.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate David's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Monday September 21st, 2026 from 4-6 PM followed by a 6 PM Funeral Home Service. Burial will be private.
