Retired Watertown Police Officer Cornelius 'Connie' Farrell, Age 81 of Watertown and York, ME, passed away on September 20, 2025. Beloved husband to the late Catherine (Maloney) Farrell. Loving father of Tammy Giatrelis & her husband Daniel, Aimee Farrell & her husband Patrick Tracey and the late Christine Sveistys & her late husband Joseph. Cherished ‘Papa’ to Kevin & Katherine Farrell, Steven & Michael Saulnier and Meredith & Nicholas Giatrelis, and great grand father to Devynn & Landynn Farrell and Cameron & Braelyn Saulnier. Dear brother of Margaret Evans, John & the late Dennis Farrell and Anne Whooley.
He dedicated many years of his life to serving and protecting his community with integrity and compassion, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike. In retirement, Connie found joy in the simple pleasures he cherished most. He loved spending time on his boat, especially in the waters of Maine, a place that always felt like home to him. Whether enjoying the peaceful beauty of the coast or gathering with friends, Maine was where he was happiest. Connie was also a familiar and beloved presence at the American Legion in Maine, where he shared countless memories, friendships, and stories. His warmth, humor, and loyalty will be remembered by all who knew him.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Connie’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. on Friday September 26th from 8:30-10:30 AM followed by an 11 AM Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church. Burial with Military Honors in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
