“In solitude, the mind gains strength and learns to lean upon itself.”
Clifford Johanson Jr. was a living testament to this quote and leaves an impact on his family and those who loved and appreciated him for who he was and how he lived.
He was brought lovingly into this world on July 21, 1951 by his beloved parents the late Claire (Dewey) and Clifford Johanson Sr. He was raised in Boston and was the eldest of the 4 Johanson brothers.
Cliff loved golfing, fishing and hunting. He was an avid reader, a Patriot’s enthusiast (especially with his brother David) and was a master of dry wit and clever comebacks.
He graduated from Boston Latin high school where he was captain of both the football and weightlifting team. He attended UMass Amherst where he continued playing football.
Post college he began his long career of trucking in the mid 70’s and retired a few years ago which afforded him time to enjoy his hobbies of fishing and hunting.
Cliff was predeceased by his parents, his wife Sheriann (Sullivan) Johanson, his brothers Stephen Johanson and Keith Johanson. He is survived by his Brother David Johanson (Lynne) of Watertown, his sisters in law, Judy Johanson and Lorraine Johanson, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, Aunt, Uncle, and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Cliff's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Tuesday July 30, 2024 from 4:30-6 PM followed by a celebration of life in the funeral home at 6 PM. Burial will be private.
