Carol Jane Scouler, age 88 of Peabody, MA formerly of Lexington, MA and Bonita Springs, FL. Carol died Sunday, January 30, 2022 following a stroke. She was born March 17, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY to Isobel Manley Greenwald and Clarence Greenwald and was the sister of the late James Michael Greenwald. She was predeceased in 2020 by her husband William J. Scouler to whom she was happily married for 63 years. She graduated from LaSalle High School Niagara Falls, in 1951 and the University of Rochester in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She also
earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Northeastern University.
Carol had a zest for life with a wonderful sense of humor and an appreciation for family, friends, and community. As an independent, strong, and hard working woman, she raised a family and had a successful career as a Level 1 Medical Surgical Nursing Instructor at Lawrence Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Medford for over twenty years. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch, cooking, genealogy, exercise, and going to the beach.
Carol is survived by her children Joanne Scouler, Bonnie Scouler Wojciehowski (Bart), Robert Scouler (Kelly), her grandchildren Carey Scouler, Daniel Scouler (Kayla), Shea Wojciehowski, John Wojciehowski, her great granddaughter Anna Scouler, great grandson William Scouler, and nephew Michael Greenwald, as well as additional extended family and friends.
A joint Memorial Service for both Carol and William Scouler is being held on Saturday February 5 th at 10am at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 60 Forest Park Rd, Woburn, MA 01801.
