Carl Witham

     Carl Francis Witham, originally of Waltham, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

     Born and raised in Waltham, Carl was the second son of the late Oscar E. and Ester E. (Sampson) Witham. He now re-joins his beloved siblings Melvin, Barbara (Lauricella), and John.

     Larger-than-life, warm, and friendly, Carl was a man of action who truly embraced every moment. Following his service in the United States Air Force, he poured his boundless energy into caring for his family and living life to the fullest outdoors. Whether he was handling stones to create beautiful walls, carving up ski slopes across the globe with friends, admiring the birds at his feeders, or trying to find that perfect swing on the golf course, Carl brought passion and enthusiasm to everything he did.  He loved his local community and looked forward each week to gathering with his friends around town to stay connected and swap stories. His infectious smile and sense of humor will be deeply missed.

      Carl’s legacy lives on through his devoted children, Edward Witham (and partner Jennifer Davis) and Laura Rotondo (and son-in-law John Rotondo); his cherished grandchildren, Brenden Shea-Witham (and partner Krystal Nedeau), Christopher Rotondo, and Jonah Rotondo; and his adored great-grandson, Kohen Carter Witham (and Devaughn Nedeau). He also leaves behind his former wife of 25 years, Ann (LeBlanc) Witham, and step-son Donald MacPhail.

     Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Carl's life by gathering for a Funeral Mass on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 12:00 NOON at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 Trapelo Road, Waltham, MA. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be private.
