Antonio DiLuca

      Antonio DiLuca age 90 of Tyngsboro, MA passed away peacefully at his home on December 15, 2023.

     Born on September 5, 1933 in Atina, Italy, Antonio was the devoted son of the late Biagio Michele and Carolina Rosa (Apruzzese) DiLuca.

     After marrying the love of his life in Italy in 1959, he emigrated to Toronto, Canada where they lived until 1971. Then he brought his young family to the United States, settling in Watertown, MA where he would reside until 2012, before settling in Tyngsboro MA.

     Antonio was the beloved husband of Michelina (Iafrate) for 64 years. He was the dear father of Anna Dichio and her husband Anthony of Westford, and Michael DiLuca and his wife Sandra of Woburn. Nonno was the treasured grandfather of Michael Dichio of Salt Lake City, UT, Justin Dichio of Concord, Alexa (Dichio) Perdikis of Arlington, and her husband Christian, Daniel DiLuca and his wife Lisa of Wakefield, Alexander DiLuca, and Nicolas DiLuca, both of Woburn.

     Antonio was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Siena Liberty Perdikis.

     Antonio took tremendous pride in his work as a carpenter and then as a blueprint manager for over 40 years. He was an impressive bocce player, winning countless titles including 4 state championships, was an expert in sausage making, and enjoyed fishing. But Antonio’s greatest source of pride and joy was his family, particularly his grandchildren. He relished spending time with them and telling them stories over leisurely Sunday dinners.

    We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the NAKA Infusion Center at Emerson Hospital, in Concord MA for the wonderful care they provided to Antonio during his final months.

     Family and friends are welcome to gather at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, 212 Main Street Watertown, Massachusetts for a viewing on Friday, December 22 at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass will follow at 10:00 AM celebrating Antonio’s life to remember the love and friendship he shared with others. Burial will follow the funeral mass at Newton Cemetery.
