Antonia (Arpino) Vergona, age 93 of Watertown, passed away on February 4, 2026. Beloved wife to the late Joseph A. Vergona. Loving mother of Rita Bopp & her husband James, Anna Tanner & her husband Michael and Felice 'Felix' Vergona. Devoted Nonni to Stephen Bopp & his wife Cassandra and great-grandmother to Sienna & Emerson. Dear sister to Anna Pulsone and the late Francesca Polini, Palma Pereschini, Antonio Arpino and Bernardo Arpino. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
Antonia found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. She loved to garden, be outdoors, and stay active, always appreciating the beauty around her. A woman of faith, she enjoyed going to church and found comfort in her devotion. Antonia was also a talented seamstress who took pride in sewing for those she loved. Above all else, she was deeply family-oriented—her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her family, who were truly the center of her world.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Antonia's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Monday February 9, 2026 from 4-7 PM and again on Tuesday February 10, 2026 at 9 AM followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, 212 Main St. Watertown. Burial in Calvary Cemetery - Waltham.
