Anthony Gianotti Obituary
Anthony 'Tony' Gianotti, age 74 of Watertown, passed away on March 24, 2022. Beloved devoted companion to Madeline 'Maddie' Lynch. Dear friend and previously married to Donna Masulla. Loving father of David Gianotti & his wife Mel and Michael Gianotti & his wife Julie. Cherished Grampy to Jackson, Riley, Colin, Gavin & Diego. Dear brother of Joseph Gianotti & his wife Laurie and sister Mary McLean & her husband Danny. Also survived by 4 loving nieces. Devoted son of the late Joseph & Rose (Grossi) Gianotti.
Chief Gianotti was appointed to the Watertown Fire Department on May 1, 1969. He was promoted to Lieutenant on April 6, 1976. He was promoted to Captain on August 9, 1979. He assumed the duties of Deputy Chief on April 14, 1984 and was promoted to Deputy Chief on July 17, 1986. He was promoted to Provisional Chief on July 10, 2003. Chief Gianotti retired on February 25, 2004.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Tony's life by gathering for visiting hours on Wednesday March 30, 2022 from 11 am to 2 pm followed by a 2 pm funeral home service. Burial to follow with Military and Watertown Fire Department Honors in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
