Ann Liuzzo Obituary

Ann Liuzzo, age 93, of Waltham, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on March 8, 2026.

Born to the late Bartolina (Zaia) and Phillipo Liuzzo, Ann lived a life rooted in faith, family, and curiosity about the world around her. A devoted Catholic, she carried her values with quiet strength and kindness throughout her life.

Ann worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant at the W.A. Rowe Company, where she was known for her dedication, reliability, and warm personality. Outside of her career, Ann embraced life with enthusiasm. She traveled extensively, loved spending time in the kitchen cooking for those she loved, and found great joy in gardening. A passionate student of history and a prolific reader, Ann was always eager to learn. She was also an enthusiastic Boston sports fan who rarely missed the chance to cheer on her favorite teams.

In her later years, Ann was blessed to spend the last decade of her life living with the Damigella family in their home, where she was lovingly cared for and cherished as part of the family. Michael, Robert & Melissa were looked to as the grandchildren she never had and she truly enjoyed the time she had with them.

She was the beloved sister of the late Anthony Liuzzo and his wife Mary, Thomas Liuzzo, Phillip Lanzo, Rose Paino & her husband Carmelo and Antonina “Nina” Pilla & her husband Henry Sr.

Ann was also the cherished aunt of Barbara Nardone & her husband Carmine Nardone; Lisa Damigella-Woodside & her husband Robert Woodside; Mary Jane Kaupelis & her husband Dick Kaupelis; the late Theresa Grenier and her late husband Richard; Henry Pilla and his wife LouAnne Pilla; Janice Moniz and her late husband Ronald Moniz; Donna Grimes and her husband William; and the late Phil Pilla and his wife Rhonda Pilla. She is further survived by many loving great-nieces & great-nephews who will miss her dearly.

Ann also shared a special and loving companionship with her furry friend, MeMay, who brought great comfort and joy to her life.

Ann will be remembered for her warmth, her strong faith, her love of family gatherings, and the many memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her. Her presence, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Ann's life by gathering for a visitation hour on Friday March 13, 2026 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass in Our Lady's Church, 880 Trapelo Road Waltham.  Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
