Obituary

Alice (Hobbins) Hawley of Hyde Park passed away after a long illness on March 17, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was 71 years old.
Alice was the beloved wife of Michael Hawley, to whom she had been married for more than thirty seven years. She was the mother of two children, her favorite daughter, Elizabeth Hawley, and her favorite son, Eddie Hawley, both of whom she loved very much. Born on June 2, 1951 to George and Frances (Madden) Hobbins (both deceased), she was the cherished sister of Kathleen Hobbins, Georgia (Hobbins) Campbell, and Albert Hobbins (deceased).

Alice was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but lived most of her lifetime in Boston. For more than three decades, she found a spiritual home at the First Church in Jamaica Plain Unitarian Universalist, where she served on multiple committees and developed many long and meaningful friendships.

Friends and loved ones remember Alice for her kindness, her sense of humor, her commitment to service, and her ability to bring comfort to those around her.
Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Alice's life by gathering for a memorial service to be held at First Church in Jamaica Plain Unitarian Universalist on April 8 at 2:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either: CurePSP at 1216 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001 or online at LINK HERE
