William Shutt

                 William Joseph Shutt, 81 years old, of Nashua, NH passed away on January 26, 2019. Bill was born and raised in Watertown, MA. He passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side after a brief illness. Son of Joseph and Julia Shutt. Bill is survived by his loving wife Mary Shutt, his brother Richard Shutt, his sisters Judy Pannesi and Mary Ellen Shutt, his daughters Lisa Raneri and Lyn Simpson, his step children James Mortenson, Peggy Harrison and Evelyn Mortenson, and his many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 – 1960 including a tour on the U.S.S. Wasp. He graduated from Northern Essex Community College and received his Master of Education from Cambridge College. He worked for many years as an addictions counselor and helped many people. He loved playing golf with his friends in the Senior Center Golf League, cheering on the New England Patriots, and enjoying his cats and the blue birds in the back yard. Bill was a kind and loving person with a great sense of humor and a generous heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

                  Visiting hours will be held in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main Street, Watertown, MA on Wednesday, January 30th, from 11:00 am to 12 Noon and will be immediately followed by a funeral home service at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Bill Shutt to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200 - Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
