Phyllis (Scalzi) Sbordone

           Phyllis C. (Scalzi) Sbordone, Age 103 of Watertown passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday September 16, 2018 in Weston. Phyllis was born on April 17, 1915 in Watertown where she was educated and lived her entire life. Phyllis was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed the time spent with her large family and her countless friends. Devoted wife of the late Andrew Sbordone. Loving mother of George Sbordone & his wife Mary of Watertown, Sandra Silverio of Billerica, Andrea Sbordone of Lowell, Patrick Sbordone of FL, Richard Sbordone & his wife Cheryl of Billerica and Robin Cain & her husband Andy of TX. Cherished grandmother to 15 grandchildren & 29 great grandchildren. Caring daughter of the late John & Antonette Scalzi. Dear sister in law of Vera Wood of Newton, Ruth DeRubeis of Newton and many nieces and nephews. sister of the late Dominic Scalzi, James Scalzi, Ralph Scalzi, Doris Merlino, John Scalzi, Robert Scalzi and Josephine Salvucci.

          Family and friends will celebrate Phyllis’ life by gathering for visiting hours in The Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St., WATERTOWN, on Tuesday September 18, 2018 from 4-8 PM and again on Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady’s Help of Christians in Newton. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Watertown.
