Jean (Taranto) Magno, age 84 of Waltham, passed away on Monday November 4, 2019. Beloved wife to Thomas Magno. Loving mother of Laurie Kiley & her husband Retired Waltham Police Captain Leo Kiley, Lisa Shepple & her husband Kevin, Thomas Magno & his wife Ernestine, Mary Grace Smerlas & her husband Charles and Jeanne McDonald & her husband Bernie. Cherished Nana to Tom Kiley, MA State Trooper Sean Kiley, Kaitlyn Kiley, J.T. Shepple, Elizabeth Shepple, Jessica Shepple, Tim Shepple, Michelle Magno, Gina Magno, Danielle Magno, Zachary McDonald, Andrew McDonald & Matthew McDonald. Dear sister to Adeline Nardone and the late Rose Giardina, Mary Cannistraro, Angelo Taranto, Anthony Taranto & Josephine Taranto.
Jean was born on November 27, 1934, in Waltham; MA; she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph & Mary Grace (Basile) Taranto.
Jean was known around Waltham for her famous pizza, her love for dancing to Elvis and playing the piano. Jean loved her family with all her heart, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor, her unconditional love for others and for her kind, warm personality. Her laugh was infectious! She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will Celebrate Jean's Life by gathering for Visiting Hours in the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St., WATERTOWN, on Friday November 8, 2019 from 4-7 PM and again on Saturday at 8:30 AM, followed by a 9:30 AM Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church in Waltham. Burial in Newton Cemetery.
