Gail Flint Pelletier, age 56, of Little Compton, RI, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 30, 2017. Gail was born November 8, 1961 in Boston Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Mary Trasente Flint, whom she missed dearly, and Frank Flint.  The youngest of three children, she was the baby of the family to her adoring older sisters.
Gail was a graduate of Braintree High School of Massachusetts in 1979.  Always having an aptitude for math and science she then went on to further her studies as a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  During her time at UMASS she became an intern at Shriners Hospital where her fascination with anatomy and physiology grew along with her love of helping people in their time of need.  She went on to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Gail resided in Hollywood, FL where she was married to Mark Pelletier in 1986 and welcomed her first child, an adored daughter, in 1987.  She returned to Massachusetts with her family in 1990, where she owned a beautiful home in Rehoboth for ten years.  In 1998 she was blessed with beautiful twin boys.
Gail touched many lives working as a nurse and pediatric nurse going on to be of service at Humana Hospital and Hallendale Hospital in Florida as well as multiple hospitals in Rhode Island including Miriam Hospital, Sturdy Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital. Later in her career she worked in Skilled Nursing Facilites in RI and MA where her kindness touched many patients and staff.  For over 20 years she was a skilled and dedicated nurse, who most all brought her warm and caring nature to her work. She enjoyed getting to know the people she served, often learning their favorite meal and bringing it to them made with love.  After her many years of service Gail found great joy in her research work at Brown University.

Gail found her partner Catherine Stanton and in the year 2000 moved to Little Compton, RI where she resided with her family for 17 years.
Among her many talents, Gail was a talented seamstress who created beautiful quilts, clothes, curtains and home decorations.  She loved to garden and delighted in growing lovely flowers.  A lover of the Arts, she enjoyed the paintings of Bouguereau. She admired talented figure skaters, gymnasts and dancers. Gail loved listening to good music turned up loudly. Some of her favorite musicians include Sara McLaghlan, Genisis and Eric Clapton. An excellent cook, Gail prepared and shared her food with love. Her signature dishes included her pasta sauce, pastina soup and Rhode Island clam chowder. Not ten minutes would pass upon arriving at her home before she would offer to make you a home cooked meal.
Gail's warm energy and bright smile could bring life and laughter to any occasion. Her friends and family describe her laugh as delightful and infectious. Gail had a way of making those she turned her love and attention toward feel special.

A beloved mother, sister and partner she leaves behind her three children, Ami, Andrew and James Pelletier, her adoring sisters Judith Flint and Patricia Flint Paine, her partner Catherine Stanton, nieces Adrienne Charles and Jessica Conroy and her six grandnieces and nephews.  She is deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all the people she touched in her life.
