Richard 'Dick' MacDonald, Sr. age 85 of Needham Heights formerly of Watertown, passed away on January 4, 2016. Beloved husband to the late Catherine 'Sis' (Arsenault) MacDonald. Loving father to Cathleen MacDonald of Watertown, Maureen DiMeo and her husband James of Needham, Richard MacDonald, Jr. of Billerica & Mary Ellen Manganelli of Belmont. Devoted Papa to Nicole Villarreal, Katherine Manganelli, Sara Manganelli, Daniel Manganelli, Elise DiMeo, Paul DiMeo, Jill DiMeo, Peter DiMeo, Kyle MacDonald, Jake MacDonald, Eric MacDonald & Cody MacDonald. Dear great-grandfather to Oliver Villarreal. Brother of Dr. Bernard MacDonald of Waltham, Jeannette Bushee of Woburn & the late Lorraine Cali. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Korean Conflict Army Veteran. Past State, County & Division President, Member, Ancient Order of Hibernians Div. 14, American Legion Post 442, Cambridge & Watertown Council Knights of Columbus #55, Past Grand Knight & 4th Degree Member.  Funeral from the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St., WATERTOWN on Friday at 8 AM followed by a 9 AM Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church in Watertown.
