Margaret (Fantasia) Ruggieri

Margaret (Fantasia) Ruggieri, 103, of Ho Ho Kus, New Jersey and formerly of Watertown, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham after a brief illness. Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Josephine and Domenic Fantasia. She was the wife of Mauro Ruggieri who passed away in 2004. After attending school in Watertown, Margaret studied fine art at the Scott Carbie School of Art in Boston. In a career of 20 years she was the highly regarded fashion embroidery designer for the Modern Embroidery Company. Relocating in Ho Ho Kus, NJ, Margaret became involved in the Community Arts Association of Northern New Jersey and the Ho Ho Kus Art Club where she served as president. Her love of painting has translated into numerous awards and her art work is in many private collections. Margaret is survived by her sister Josephine Hedges of Watertown & her sisters in law Wilma Fantasia and Sylvia Fantasia. She was predeceased by her sister Palmina Parrella and her brothers John, Nicholas, Anthony, and Salvatore Fantasia. She is survived by many nieces, nephews & beloved friends. Funeral from the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown, MA on Friday August 18th at 8 AM followed by a 9 AM Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, 212 Main St., Watertown. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday August 17th from 4 to 7 PM.
