June (Milley) Paone

June L. (Milley) Paone, 87, formerly of Watertown, died Saturday, May 23, in Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge of pneumonia.

She leaves her loving husband of nearly 66 years, Charles F. (Charlie) Paone, Jr., and three children: Linda M. Barrile, and her husband Tom, of Walpole; Judy J. McGann and her husband David, of Burlington; and Charles F. (Chuck) Paone III and his wife Lana, of Acton. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Lisa (Barrile) O’Toole; Kristen Barrile; David McGann; Kerry (McGann) Howeson; Christopher Paone; and Justin Paone; and also by six great grandchildren: Luke, Caleb, Katie, Dory, Ashley and Jack. Two brothers, Jack Milley, of Arlington, and Richard (Dick) Milley, of Shrewsbury; and a sister, Barbara Garside, of Arlington, both predeceased her.

She was born and raised in Arlington, the daughter of John and Louise (Ernst) Milley, and graduated from Arlington High School in 1945. She worked various jobs after graduating high school and married in June 1949.

In later years, June worked in various capacities at the former Coolidge Bank in Watertown before retiring in 1989. While there, she was an active member of the Bank’s bowling league and participated in various social activities. After retiring, June and Charlie spent time traveling within the continental U.S., Alaska and on cruises throughout the Caribbean and, on multiple occasions, to Bermuda.

The Funeral from the NARDONE FUNERAL HOME, 373 Main St., Watertown on Thursday May 28 at 8 am followed by a 9 AM funeral mass in St. Luke's Church, 132 Lexington St. Belmont. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown. Calling Hours are Wednesday, May 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
