Helen (Harrington) Marchant

     Helen Marchant, Age 94, of Watertown was called home to our heavenly father on March 14, 2017 in Cambridge MA. Helen was born in Cambridge Massachusetts to Charlotte and Albert Harrington on December 14, 1922. She married Edward Robert Marchant on February 26, 1940 in Nashua, NH. She worked at home raising her and Bob’s seven children for many years. She was involved in many VFW events with her husband Bob, a WWII Navy veteran. She loved going to church, shopping, ceramics, her daily dose of ice cream, working with her sons at Joe’s Variety and most importantly spending time with her family.

     Helen was preceded in death by her son Ronald Marchant, husband Robert Edward Marchant, her granddaughter Suzanne Bertrand, and her two siblings Dorothy O’Loughlin, and Albert Harrington. 

     In her last days Helen was surrounded by love from her six children; Joan Bertrand and her husband John of Watertown, Edward Marchant and his wife Jane of Medford, Kenneth Marchant, Alan Marchant and his wife Anne, John (Jackie) Marchant all of Watertown, and William (Billy) Marchant and his wife Karen of Norwood; and her fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; Kim Arno and her husband John with their four sons, Joshua, Justin, Dillon, and Al of Natick, Stephen Marchant and his wife Kelli with their two daughters, Haley and Caitlin of Tewksbury, Dana Marchant and his wife Cindy with their son Camden, Carol Paquette and her husband Greg of Watertown, Amanda Marchant of Waltham, Jan Desrosiers and her husband Arthur of Waltham, Mark Marchant and his wife Theresa with their two sons Mark Jr. and Mac of Waltham, Daniel Marchant and his fiancé Sabrina Spindler of Waltham, John Marchant of Watertown, Matthew Marchant of Watertown, William Marchant Jr. of NJ, Nicole Marchant of Norwood, Ryan Marchant of Norwood, Brian Marchant of Watertown and James Marchant of Watertown.

     Funeral from the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Monday at 9:30 AM, followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Luke's Church. Burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM.
