Elizabeth Anna ( Juliano) Gowell of Watertown, on August 5, 2016 , Wife of the late Niles Parker Gowell who passed in 1987. Elizabeth, known as "Liz" to some, and Auntie Betty to many - was the eldest of 7 children born to Louis and Marietta Juliano, and lived in Watertown her entire life. She died peacefully while surrounded by the love of her family at the age of 103. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1931, and was an expert seamstress, knitter and excellent cook. She leaves a sister, Priscilla (Jenkins) of Wellfleet, Mass. She was pre-deceased by her brothers George, Robert, Michael and Edward Juliano and sister Anna F. Duggan. Survived by many adoring nieces and nephews, including Neal and Edward Duggan.  She was especially cherished by nieces Linda Fruggiero, Susan Donnellan and Carol David who helped her maintain her independence while living in her own home until she passed. She lead a very active life, going out to lunch and shopping several times every week. Betty enjoyed spending time at the Watertown Council on Aging at exercise class, dancing, Bingo and parties. She will be missed by all who loved this amazing woman. Donations in her memory may be made to the Watertown Senior Center, or the Elizabeth Evarts de Rham Hospice Home, 65 Chilton St Cambridge, MA 02138. Funeral Services will be from the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St, Watertown on Tuesday August 9th at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday August 9th from 9 to 11 AM.  Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
