Donald A. Kadish age 94 of Waltham passed away on February 4, 2018. He was the son of the late Alexander Kadish & Olive (Peace) Kadish. He was educated in the Cambridge School System at the Morse School, Rindge Technical High School & graduated from North Eastern University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His beloved wife Lillian ((Beavrivage) Kadish passed away in 1990.
Donald was raised by his grandmother Mrs. Annie Smith and his aunt Ms. Julia Grossman.
Donald enlisted in the Merchant Marine in 1943 and served as a Radio Officer in the North Atlantic with many trips to England, France, Norway and Russia. Donald was a licensed Ham Radio Operator for over 60 years with contact all over the world. He also held a pilots license for many years. He was an accomplished musician and was a member of the American Legion Band of the Hill Post 156 in Waltham. He also played for the Shriners Band and the Swing Band in Chelmsford.
Donald leaves behind many friends and his nieces and nephews Ernest & Julie Latham - Brown and Arthur & Carol Faini. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday March 3, 2018 from 2 - 3 PM. A funeral home service will follow at 3 PM and conclude with Military Honors.
