Adeline (Fallo) Mason, 84, lifelong resident of Waltham passed away peacefully on May 30th after a courageous battle with Metastatic Bone Cancer. For many years Adeline owned Super Quality Donut and Bob’s Donut shops, both in Waltham. She was affectionately known as the “Donut Lady” by the neighborhood children, who would stop by each day on their way home from school for a free donut. In later years, she worked, at Polaroid then Raytheon both in Waltham, until her retirement. What Adeline enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends. She also liked going to the movies, playing Scrabble, walking the family dog and attending Waltham Senior Center Events. Adeline will be greatly missed by all, including, Lilly, the family dog.
Adeline was the devoted mother of Sandra Mahoney and her husband Gary of Waltham. Grandmother of Gary Jr. and his wife Kristy of Franklin, Tiffany Bianchi and her husband Paul, of Waltham and the late Stephanie Rouge. Great-Grandmother of Briana, Brandon, Jesse, Mia, Reagan and Cooper. Sister of Lucy Arico of Lexington, the late Mary Hyder, Armando and Joseph Fallo. Daughter of the late Carmelo and Bernadette (LaCava) Fallo, Adeline also leaves many special nieces and one nephew along with many cherished friends.
Funeral from the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. Watertown on Friday at 9 AM followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 100 Newton St., Waltham. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Teen Life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St. Waltham, MA 02453. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 PM.
